The Vaganova Method

The School uses the Vaganova Method of classical ballet in its pedagogy. This method is the basis of the renowned Russian School of Ballet style.

The method was developed by the famous Russian ballerina Madame Agrippina Vaganova (1879-1951), and is widely used in Russia, Europe, North America and other parts of the world.

A highly professional approach based on years of experience in the field of teaching this method is used.

Classes are imparted by the Bolshoi trained, Moscow Festival Theatre and State Kremlin Ballet acclaimed soloist and principal dancer, Valentina Pavlova.

Repertoire

Students will study classical repertoire from the following ballets:

  • Swan Lake
  • Nutcracker
  • Don Quixote
  • Giselle
  • Cinderella
  • The Sleeping Beauty
  • Raymonda

Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their acquired skills through participation in the professionally staged, artistically directed performance at the end of 2009 in an established theatre venue.
